In a dramatic season, Andy Awford was sacked – while stars such as Jed Wallace carried on their fine progress in royal blue.
But what happened to the lesser known names, and ‘reserve’ players in the Blues’ FIFA 15 squad?
We’ve rummaged through the archives to see who they were and where they are now.
Here’s what we found out...
5. Ryan Taylor
Following a record of 15 goals in a year-and-a-half at Pompey, Taylor continued his career in the EFL. Spells at Oxford United and Plymouth preceded a move to Newport County. From there he joined Grimsby where he still plays and the 34-year-old hit eight goals in 38 appearances last term Picture: Pete Norton/Getty Images Photo: Pete Norton
6. Ben Chorley
Chorley retired at Bromley in 2018 - three years after being named Pompey's club captain. Since then, he was named Swindon Town's director of football in July 2021 and will harbour ambitions of reaching League One with the Robins in the play-offs. Picture: Joe Pepler Photo: Joe Pepler
7. David Cornell
The goalkeeper arrived at Fratton Park in March 2015 and left a month later with no appearances to his name. However, he's forged a strong career and arrived at Ipswich in 2020 via Oldham and Northampton. In June 2021 he joined Peterborough and made 32 appearances last term as the Posh were relegated back to League One. Picture: Pete Norton/Getty Images Photo: Pete Norton
