'Can't knock that... fair play to the owners' - how Portsmouth fans reacted to ticket refund policy

Pompey have revealed their policy for ticket refunds after the 2019-20 season was curtailed.

The Blues still had four remaining Fratton Park fixtures – against Accrington, Blackpool, Bristol Rovers and Doncaster – before League One clubs brought the campaign to a premature end on Tuesday.

In terms of how they receive this payment, the Blues are offering three options.

Either credit can used when purchasing future season tickets or match-day tickets, fans can have money returned to their bank account or donate the money to the club to help financially amid the coronavirus crisis.

And the choices have largely been favoured by the Fratton faithful.

Here’s how some have reacted on Twitter...

Some very good options from the club. But i’m happy to let the club keep it during these challenging times. However I was hoping the money would go to the academy

Can’t knock that. Refund or credit

Brilliant from the club. So lucky that we finally have owners that care about the fans. I will be donating my money to the club and I hope it goes a long way to securing jobs, especially the unsung hero's behind the scenes that work so hard keeping our beloved club going. PUP

Right so I’ll take credit against next seasons season ticket. And I’ll have a full refund for my Oxford away tickets then.

Great options, good decision by the club.

Fair play to the owners. Feel like they receive unfair criticism a lot of the time! #Pompey

@Pompey_Ranger

The club is literally owned by a billionaire. Why is it even an option for the season ticket money to be given to the club? Under fan ownership I wouldn’t hesitate, But not now.

@Pompeynat1988

Totally fair options. All of which are a personal choice. There is nothing to complain about here

@edmac316

Fair play, can not argue with the options. Well done Pompey.
