Conor Shaughnessy and Kusini Yengi were the scorers who inflicted a 2-0 defeat on Bolton – their first loss in all competitions for more than two months.
It was a magnificent display by the brilliant Blues who are now six points clear at the top. And here are our Pompey player ratings...
9. Paddy Lane - 8
(Replaced by Terry Devlin on 82 minutes) The in-form winger put in a hell of a shift on the left flank and was always a threat. Never let Bolton’s defence settle. Photo: Jason Brown
10. Kusini Yengi - 9 - MOM
(Replaced by Christian Saydee on 90 minutes) Fascinating physical battle with Santos, causing the towering defender all sorts of problems. Was unfortunate not to net in the first half when goal-bound shot cleared off the line by Jones, but got his deserved goal in the 89th minute following Whyte's pass. Given little protection from the referee, but just got on with it. Brilliant. Photo: Jason Brown
11. Abu Kamara - 8
(Replaced by Gavin Whyte on 67 minutes) Was giving left-back Toal an absolutely torrid time before injuring himself in a tackle and being forced off. Looks better on the right and losing him was a real shame. Photo: Jason Brown
