Bradford emerge as serious contenders to land Portsmouth midfielder Gareth Evans
Bradford have emerged as serious contenders for Gareth Evans’ signature.
The News revealed on Thursday that the 32-year-old was set to end his five-year stay at Fratton Park.

A move to Bolton was mooted, with Evans keen to return north to be closer to his Manchester-based family.
However, Bradford could steal a march in the race to land the PO4 fans’ favourite, with The News understanding up to six club have registered an interest in the attacking midfielder.
Evans is a Bantams old boy, having made more than 80 appearances for the League Two side between 2009 and 2011.
Any move to Valley Parade would also see him reunited with former boss Stuart McCall.
Bradford are known to be keen to add to their ranks before their game against Stevenage tomorrow – and Evans fits the bill.
A League Two title-winner with the Blues, the former Manchester United youngster didn’t train with Kenny Jackett’s side on Thursday as he put the finishing touches to his move away.
His impending switch is expected to be completed today.
