Barnsley strengthened with powerful new signing ahead of Portsmouth FA Cup visit
Barnsley have bolstered their side ahead of the FA Cup visit to Pompey.
The Tykes have landed Austrian central defender Michael Sollbauer, subject to international clearance.
The 29-year-old arrives from Gerhard Struber’s former club Wolfsberger AC ahead of the fourth round clash at Fratton Park tomorrow.
Sollbauer played 238 games in Austria’s top flight and captained his former club in the Europa League.
Barnsley have already signed Marcel Ritzmaier and Germany Under-20 international Kilian Ludewig in the January window.
