John Mousinho’s men were abject throughout, a shadow of the side which claimed an admirable point at St Mary’s last week, and the struggling Owls fully deserved their 2-0 victory.
Barry Bannan and George Brown were the scorers, with the awful sight of Conor Shaughnessy pulling his hamstring during the second half adding to the Blues woes.
Here are our Pompey player ratings...

1. Nicolas Schmid - 7
Given barely anything to do, other than punch away a few testing Bannan corners. Came off line well and was unflappable. Photo: Graham Hunt

2. Terry Devlin - 7
Great early chance after seven minutes, but dragged a right-footed shot from inside the box wide. Needs to make far better use of the ball when in possession in promising positions. Switched to right wing late in second half after Williams’ introduction. Photo: Graham Hunt

3. Regan Poole - 7
After being tested by Arsenal, this was largely a walk in the park for the centre-half, who breezed through the 90 minutes with little fuss. Competed with required, but never troubled. Photo: Graham Hunt

4. Conor Shaughnessy - 7
A very comfortable afternoon for the central defender, with little to really challenge him. The only time he looked uncertain was with a couple of uncharacteristically poor passes out from the back. Photo: Graham Hunt
