Held at the Blues’ Hilsea training ground, the game consisted of four 30 minute periods, involving 22 players, and developed into a rout, with seven goals after the hour mark.
Kusini Yengi grabbed three, with other scorers including Anthony Scully, Colby Bishop, Tom Lowery, Christian Saydee and Zak Swanson.
Inevitably with an emphatic result such as that, there were a number of very strong performances – and here are our Pompey player ratings...

17. Tom Lowery - 7
(Replaced Joe Morrell on 61 mins) Missed a great chance when he should have scored after dispossessing a Crawley player, so good to see him make amends by netting from Scully’s pull-back. Lovely to watch on the ball and thankfully no sign of the groin concern which forced him to miss recent friendlies. Photo: Jason Brown

18. Ben Stevenson - 7
(Replaced Marlon Pack on 61 mins) With Pompey switching to a 4-2-3-1 from the third period, asked to play as one of the holding two and kept things very tight. Coincided with the Blues at their most destructive, enabling the attacking players to flourish. Photo: Portsmouth FC

19. Anthony Scully - 9
(Replaced Terry Devlin on 61 mins) Absolutely destroyed Crawley, with two goals and three assists. The inspiration behind the visitors’ hammering and most eye-catching pre-season outing so far. His first goal, in particular, was wonderful to see, cutting in from the left and curling a right-footed shot into the far corner. Superb. Photo: Portsmouth FC

20. Paddy Lane - 7
(Replaced Gavin Whyte on 61 mins) Did superbly to create Saydee’s goal, with a run and pass from the left. Played on the right flank overall, though, and is growing into pre-season following extended time off. Photo: Jason Brown
