The Blues found themselves 2-0 down after 28 minutes following sloppy defending against struggling Reading, with the Madejski Stadium rocking.
But remarkably, John Mousinho’s men fought back to triumph 3-2 through goals from Tino Anjorin, Colby Bishop and Terry Devlin – and here are our Pompey player ratings...

1. Nicolas Schmid - 6
The only Pompey player who was handed the full 90 minutes, which had been pre-determined. Had very little to do, which emphasised Pompey's dominance. Photo: Jason Brown

2. Jordan Williams - 8
(Replaced by Nathan Ferguson on 70 mins) A surprise early scorer on four minutes when his run down the middle was picked out by Pack’s pass and he held off the defender to break the deadlock. Great block early in the second half to prevent a certain Wing goal. Photo: Nigel Keene

3. Regan Poole - 7
(Replaced Hayden Matthews on 70 mins) One wonderful intervention on 30 minutes when he appeared from nowhere to intercept a pass meant for Savage to spark a Blues attack. Comfortable on the ball, rock solid at the back. Photo: Simon Roe

4. Conor Shaughnessy - 7
(Replaced by Ibane Bowat on 59 mins) Came of with cramp, nothing more severe than that, although it was around the time when Pompey were already looking to make substitutions. Before then he had made defending look easy. Photo: Nigel Keene
