Five star Moneyfields stun lofty Winchester to record first home league win of the season
Moneyfields climbed to 10th in the Isthmian South Central table with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Winchester City – their first home league win of the season.
The visitors arrived sitting in third place, having scored 21 league goals, but Moneys built on their goalless draw with Hayes & Yeading United to produce a convincing performance.

The Citizens started brightly. Bradley Waters sending an early ball across goal which Scott Bungay could not steer it home.
At the other end, Lewis Beale was unable to capitalise on a mistake by keeper Danny Dixon, putting his effort wide with the goal open.
Moneys broke the deadlock after 20 minutes when captain Tom Cain’s header flew into the top corner.
Harrison Brook doubled the advantage, reacting to a blocked shot and driving the rebound hard and low past Dixon.
Winchester responded through Bungay, who pounced on a scramble inside the penalty area to reduce the deficit.
However, Moneys restored their two-goal cushion before the interval, high pressing and neat passing creating an opening for James Franklyn to finish from a low cross.
Winchester threatened early in the second half, with top scorer Ollly Balmer denied by a fine save from Malachi Osei-Owusu.
Waters then broke into the penalty area but fired into the side netting.
Moneys gradually gained greater control as the tempo dropped, retaining possession and protecting their advantage.
With around 10 minutes remaining, Danny Burroughs set up Sam Ashton to net with a powerful header.
The hosts completed the scoring with the final kick, Freddie Cole chasing down the ball and supplying fellow sub Burroughs.
Moneys will hope to keep that form going on Saturday when they host Hartley Wintney, who suffered a 7-0 thrashing at leaders Bognor the same evening (see page 40).
