Hawks travel to Poole on Tuesday night for their first qualifying round tie against Hamworthy United.

It is a tough test for the Hawks youngsters, who will be managed by Joe Oastler, as the Hammers boast one of the best youth systems in Dorset.

Hamworthy caned Gosport Borough 6-0 in their qualifying round tie a fortnight ago and on Sunday won 8-1 in a Dorset Under-18 League game against Dorchester Town.

Prior to that, they had won 13-0 against Christchurch, 5-1 against Weymouth and 7-1 against Dorchester in friendlies.

Moneyfields enter the Youth Cup on Thursday with a home tie against Basingstoke, while AFC Portchester travel to Brockenhurst the same evening.

Moneyfields warmed up for their game with a 4-0 win at Portchester on Sunday in what was the Royals’ first Hampshire Combination East game of 2020/21.

Portchester have already played one Youth Cup tie, a 4-0 win at Alton which featured two goals from Patrick Hnath.

After this week, there are two more rounds of qualifying before League 1 and League 2 clubs such as Portsmouth enter at the first round proper stage.

The Premier League and Championship clubs enter at the third round stage.
