Angus Brown and Alex Hammond have been selected for the England Men’s Mixed Disability Team travelling to India next summer for their first-ever oversees tour.

The duo will join the 15-man team in India in 2026 having come through Hampshire’s disability pathway. This is managed by Hampshire Cricket Board, the governing body for recreational cricket in the county.

In addition to this selection, four current and nine former members of Hampshire’s D40 Quest Disability Squad have been drafted into the 2026 Toyota Disability Premier League (DPL).

The DPL consists of four teams, the Pirates, Black Cats, Hawks and Tridents, with the first game set for June 2026. The following Hampshire-linked players have been selected:

Michael Powell, Disability Cricket Development Officer at Hampshire Cricket Board, said: "This is a massive milestone moment for Angus & Alex, they have both contributed a tremendous amount to our D40 Disability programme in previous years, and I wish them all the very best as they embark on this exciting, life changing opportunity.

“I know they'll represent Hampshire with great honour and pride, and I look forward to following their progress on the tour.”

Discussing the 2026 Toyota Disability Premier League drafted Hampshire players, Powell said: "I am delighted with the news of 13 Hampshire D40 players being selected in the 2026 Toyota Disability Premier League. The players are fully deserving of this recognition that celebrates their own personal achievements within cricket.

“The Disability Premier League continues to bring disability cricket into the mainstream, and this selection of players demonstrates Hampshire’s commitment to continue to provide opportunities to all our players and raising the profile and exposure of disability cricket within our county and beyond."

Hampshire Cricket Board work with a range of local partners to help develop the game in the region through a diverse range of activities, both playing and coaching, for people of all ages and abilities.
