Unlock your potential in a supportive, dynamic environment – HSDC is the perfect next step for you!
HSDC offers a variety of pathways and will support you each step of the way in fulfilling your potential and achieving your dreams – don’t miss the opportunity to find out more this October during our Open Events.
Industry links and modern facilities
Spread across three campuses, HSDC brings exceptional industry knowledge into the classroom, ensuring students are fully supported alongside the use of modernised facilities.
£3.5 million in funding from the Post-16 Capacity Fund has recently allowed us to build a brand-new, state-of-the-art teaching block on Havant Campus, providing excellent facilities for a number of thriving subjects to be taught.
Vocational and technical
Our South Downs Campus is home to a huge variety of vocational and technical courses, offering hands-on experience in your desired subject. From our newly refurbished engineering department to our outstanding aviation suite, our facilities are sure to give you the industry-standard knowledge and experience needed for a successful and meaningful career.
HSDC was recently announced as the best provider of T Levels in the region, and the ninth best provider nationally. We are committed to the high-quality provision of this important technical qualification, providing our students with the perfect combination of classroom learning and first-hand industry experience.
Former student Arya achieved a T Level in Healthcare Science at HSDC South Downs, and will now be studying Medicine abroad on a full scholarship!
I absolutely loved the practical side of my course, it really helped me to develop my specialist knowledge. The teachers definitely gave me a lot of work to do, but they also gave me the freedom to plan my own revision and would even structure their own lessons around our own studies.
A Level centre of excellence
Meanwhile, our Havant Campus strives for academic excellence, offering over 30 A Level subjects, ensuring you have a large range of options to suit you and your career aspirations. Our students often progress into higher education, with many securing places at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities every year, whilst others choose alternative routes, including degree apprenticeships and internships.
Our results this year highlight Havant’s commitment to being a centre of academic excellence, with half of our students achieving A*-B grades, and 20% attaining the very top grades of A*/A.
Former A Level student Ellie achieved a highly impressive A*AAA in Criminology, Psychology, Law and an Extended Project, and has obtained a place on a Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship with Kent Police. Speaking on her time at HSDC Havant, Ellie said: “Consistent support from my teachers made my courses at Havant so much more enjoyable, and it really felt like a strong community. The long-term forever friends I’ve made at college will be with me for the rest of my life, and I’m so thankful for all their support.”
