If you were a teenager back then, there’s a good chance you grew up swooning over one of these celebrities or had a poster of them pinned to your bedroom wall.
From screen sirens to hunky heartthrobs, they were among the most lusted-after figures of their generation.
The famous faces pictured in this retro photo gallery include models, singers and actors.
Some were classically good-looking, while others were more unlikely sex symbols, beguiling fans with their personality as much as their beauty.
How many of these 60s and 70s celebrities do you recognise, and are there any you had a crush on as a teenager?
If these photos have got you feeling all nostalgic, you might enjoy this look back at the things every teenager wanted in their bedroom during the 60s and 70s.

1. John Travolta
John Travolta was a sitcom regular and had a top-10 hit and a supporting role in Carrie during the mid-70s. But it was his leading roles as Tony Manero in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever and as Danny Zuko in Grease the following year that elevated him to superstar status. His dance moves were as much of a draw for young fans as his looks. Travolta is pictured here in 1978 with Bianca Jagger. | Getty Images Photo: Evening Standard/Hulton Archive

2. Twiggy
Lesley Hornby, better known as Twiggy, was among the biggest icons of the swinging 60s. She was one of the first internationally famous supermodels and went on to enjoy success as an actor and singer. | Getty Images Photo: Stan Meagher/Daily Express/Hulton Archive

3. David Soul
The detective drama Starsky & Hutch was a huge hit in the 70s. While some people had a crush on Paul Michael Glaser, who played Starsky, it was his co-star David Soul who got most of the attention. | FilmPublicityArchive/United Arch

4. Brigitte Bardot
The acclaimed French actress rose to fame in the 50s and was a huge star during the 60s, appearing in films including The Truth, Le Mépris and Viva Maria! The French president Charles de Gaulle famously called her 'the French export as important as Renault cars'. Bardot retired from acting in 1973 to focus on her work as an animal rights activist. | Getty Images Photo: Keystone
