Vodafone’s new Black Friday SIM-only deal is making headlines for one simple reason: it finally removes the painful roaming costs that catch so many travellers out. With unlimited data and use in eighty three countries, it’s shaping up to be one of the most useful mobile offers of the season.
Vodafone has dropped a Black Friday offer that fixes one of the most frustrating and expensive problems in mobile ownership: the cost of using your phone abroad.
The new SIM-only deal gives you unlimited 5G data for £31 a month, which is already strong for an unlimited data plan. But the headline feature – and the part that’s turning heads online – is the global roaming. Vodafone says this SIM works in eighty three countries, with no data limits and full 5G access. For anyone who’s travelled in the last few years, that’s a huge deal.
Right now, some networks charge up to £30 just for a fortnight in Europe, and much more if you’re heading beyond the EU to places like Australia or New Zealand. Others will cap your roaming data even if you’ve paid extra. Vodafone’s new offer wipes those costs away entirely.

Across a typical two-year plan, Vodafone says the new SIM could save users up to £216, thanks to the unlimited global roaming and the removal of travel surcharges. The deal also includes access to Vodafone’s dual-network partnership with Three, giving you better signal by combining coverage from both networks.
If you don’t need worldwide roaming, Vodafone is also running a cheaper £24-a-month unlimited 5G SIM, which strips out the roaming element but keeps the data benefits. Both deals are available through the official Vodafone site: See the Vodafone deals
Buying a SIM-only plan separately to your handset is becoming increasingly common, especially for people upgrading to the iPhone 17, Samsung’s S25 range or any SIM-free phone bought outright. Bundled contracts can quietly keep charging you long after the phone is paid off, but SIM-only deals allow you to cut your monthly price right down and take advantage of major Black Friday offers like this one.
If you want to avoid roaming fees next time you travel and slash your monthly bill at the same time, Vodafone’s new unlimited SIM-only deal is one of the standout offers of Black Friday 2025.
