Simba has introduced HeatRelease, a cooling mattress technology designed to help those affected by night sweats and overheating, particularly during menopause.
Women experiencing hot flushes and night sweats during menopause may be interested in new mattress technology designed to create a cooler sleeping environment.
Sleep brand Simba has launched HeatRelease, a cooling innovation exclusive to Simba in the UK. The company says the technology can keep sleepers up to 4.4°C cooler and maintain an ideal sleep temperature for up to eight hours.
It uses precision graphite cooling strips alongside graphite-infused Simbatex foam and Simba’s breathable spring architecture. HeatRelease is designed to draw excess heat away from the body within 20 minutes.
The technology cannot prevent hot flushes, and experiences of menopause vary. However, reducing the heat retained around the sleeper could help make the bed more comfortable when overheating is disrupting sleep.
HeatRelease is included as standard on Simba’s flagship Hybrid Ultra mattress. It is also offered as an optional upgrade on the Hybrid Luxe and Hybrid Pro.
The Hybrid Ultra features Simba’s patented Aerocoil microsprings, two layers of graphite-infused Simbatex foam, a PureLift™ comfort layer, Stratos cool-touch cover, FusionCool layer and SupportCore spring system.
Prices for the Hybrid Ultra begin at £1,749 for a Single and rise to £2,999 for a Super King.
For those looking for a more plush feel, the Hybrid Luxe combines Aerocoil microsprings and graphite-infused Simbatex foam with a breathable bamboo-infused wool layer and Steel SupportCore springs. Prices with the HeatRelease upgrade start from £1,998 for a Double.
The Hybrid Pro also combines Aerocoil spring technology with graphite-infused Simbatex foam. With HeatRelease added, prices start at £1,498 for a Double.
Night-time hot flushes can cause sleepers to wake, remove layers, change position and try to cool down before returning to sleep. Repeated episodes can lead to further disruption during the night.
While measures such as lighter pyjamas, different bedding and a cooler bedroom may help, HeatRelease is intended to manage temperature from within the mattress itself.
Simba CEO Steve Reid says cooling has become one of the biggest priorities in sleep innovation, with the technology combining thermal engineering and the brand’s existing sleep features.
Simba offers a 200-night trial for customers considering a new mattress. Delivery charges may apply.
