The new iPhone 17e is already attracting strong deals in the UK, with major networks competing on price, data and trade-in offers

Apple’s new iPhone 17e is already proving popular with UK buyers – and some of the best deals currently available are coming from EE, where shoppers can save up to £288 on selected plans.

The network has launched a series of spring promotions running until March 30, with discounts on a wide range of phones, but the standout offer is the saving on Apple's new headline-grabber.

Customers taking out selected contracts can save up to £288, and the discount can climb even higher for those who trade in an older device. That makes it one of the strongest early offers available on Apple’s newest entry-level iPhone.

The iPhone 17e is designed to bring many of Apple’s latest features to a more affordable price point, and it's proving very popular, even in the wake of such a scramble to buy the 17.

The 17e retains the sleek modern design seen on recent iPhones and delivers strong performance for everyday tasks such as streaming, photography and gaming.

EE's 36-month deals start at £42.22 per month, with a £30 upfront payment, which will get you 25GB per month. Click here to see more.

What is Vodafone offering to compete with it?

Vodafone is also offering competitive deals on the iPhone 17e, particularly for customers willing to trade in an older handset.

Vodafone’s plans are typically structured through its EVO payment system, which spreads the cost of the handset over up to 36 months with 0% APR, while the airtime plan runs alongside it.

In real terms, most customers will pay around £40 per month on a 36-month deal for the iPhone 16e, with £30 upfront, but that only gives 5GB per month, rather than EE's 25GB. If you're a heavy consumer, you might be better off with EE.

What if you use a lot of data?

Heavy consumers could save big on Mobiles.co.uk because they are offering the iPhone 17e on ID Mobile for £29 per month, on a 24-month contract. And that gets you 100GB. The highest on any of the basic packages.

The upfront cost of the phone is only £9, but the monthly cost will go up to £30.49 from April 1 2027.

This is the best-value deal on the face of it, but there's no trade-in offer, and you'd have to be happy going with a smaller virtual network, with coverage provided by Three.
