Furbo pet camera deal offers up to 50% off this summer

Leaving my dog at home is never easy, but sometimes it simply cannot be avoided. Whether I am heading into work or making a quick trip to the shops, I always find myself wondering what they are doing. That is why the Furbo Summer Sale, offering savings of up to 50%, immediately caught my eye.

I have considered buying a pet camera before, but many seem limited to little more than a fixed video feed. The Furbo 360° Dog and Mini Camera appears to offer something much more useful, with features created around the concerns dog owners actually have.

Its rotating 360-degree view lets you see across the whole room, removing the awkward blind spots found on fixed cameras. If my dog wandered away from the sofa or disappeared into another corner, I would be able to move the camera and find them using the clear HD video feed.

Automatic dog tracking makes this even easier. Rather than opening the app to find a lovely view of an empty rug, the Furbo camera can follow a dog as they move around the room. It means you can quickly check whether they are snoozing peacefully or getting involved in something they know is off limits.

The two-way audio is another feature I would find genuinely useful. Being able to speak through the camera could help reassure a dog that is feeling unsettled, while the adjustable volume allows owners to choose a level that suits their pet.

Of course, the built-in treat-tossing function is likely to be the star of the show. It lets owners reward their dog remotely, whether that is for good behaviour or simply as a surprise during the day.

There is also the option to record a personalised snack call, helping turn treat time into a familiar routine even when nobody is home. The dispenser holds approximately 100 treats, so it should not need to be constantly refilled.

The Furbo 360° Dog and Mini Camera is currently available for £41 when taken with the Furbo Nanny Standard Plan, which costs £7.59 per month. With the Summer Sale cutting prices by as much as 50%, it could be a tempting opportunity for anyone already considering a pet-monitoring camera.

For me, the appeal is not simply adding another smart device to the house. It is the reassurance of being able to check that my dog is safe, comfortable and behaving themselves while I am away.

If you start wondering what your dog is doing before you have even reached the end of the road, Furbo could offer some welcome peace of mind. The treats will probably earn you a few extra points with them, too.
