The three-in-one Living & Home model can be recessed, wall-mounted or freestanding and offers 900W and 1,800W heat settings
A 60-inch electric fireplace that provides adjustable heat and colourful flame effects has appeared on Wowcher for £79, just as cooler autumn evenings begin returning.
The deal also offers a 40-inch version for the same price, while the 50-inch model is currently marked as sold out. Compared with the £196 reference price displayed on the page, buyers are saving £117, or just under 60 per cent.
Designed to create the look of a contemporary fireplace without requiring a chimney, the Living & Home electric fire combines a heater and flame display inside a black metal and tempered-glass body.
Its heat output can be switched between a 900W eco setting and a more powerful 1,800W mode. This gives households the option of using gentler background warmth or turning the power up when the temperature takes a more noticeable dip.
Running costs will depend on the electricity tariff and how frequently the thermostat cycles the heater. At its maximum 1.8kW output, an hour of continuous heating would use up to 1.8kWh of electricity, so it is worth checking the cost against other ways of heating the room.
The £79 electric fireplace is not limited to one traditional orange flame effect. Owners can choose from 12 flame colours and five brightness levels, allowing it to provide a subtle evening glow or a more colourful focal point.
Heat and flame settings can be adjusted using the included remote control or the touch-sensitive panel on the front. That means there should be no need to leave the sofa whenever the room becomes too warm or the display needs adjusting.
Three installation options provide some flexibility over where the three-in-one fireplace goes. It can be recessed into a suitable opening, mounted on a wall or used in a freestanding configuration.
An installation kit and manual are included, although buyers considering the recessed or wall-mounted options should check the wall construction and fireplace measurements carefully. The 60-inch version will need considerably more space than its 40-inch sibling, despite both currently carrying the same £79 price.
Safety features include overheat protection and automatic shut-off. As with any electric heater, it should still be positioned with suitable clearance from curtains, furniture and other combustible materials, following the supplied installation instructions.
The offer appears to be attracting attention. At the time of writing, Wowcher says 1,747 have been bought, including seven during the previous 24 hours. The 60-inch size is also identified as the bestseller among the available options.
Delivery is not necessarily included in the headline price. Wowcher advertises savings of up to £5 on postage and packaging through its VIP membership, so the complete cost should be checked before payment.
Unlike a wood-burning stove or conventional open fire, this remote-controlled electric fireplace does not require logs, fuel storage or a working chimney. The flame display also provides atmosphere without the mess associated with ash and soot.
However, it should be regarded as a room heater rather than a replacement for an entire central heating system. Its appeal lies in combining supplementary warmth with a large decorative display that can become a focal point in a lounge, bedroom or apartment.
Anyone interested can view the available sizes and latest Wowcher price online. The 50-inch option has already sold out, suggesting it is sensible to check stock before deciding where the fireplace will go.
At £79 for either the 40-inch or 60-inch version, the deal offers a sizeable electric fireplace for £117 below the comparison price shown, but delivery charges and installation requirements need to be factored into the decision.
☀️ Summer may be fading, but this deal is scorching. The TOG24 Jacinda Women’s Supersoft Jersey Playsuit has plummeted from £50 to just £8, saving shoppers £42 in a huge 84% reduction.
💗 Made mainly from soft viscose and cotton, the bright pink playsuit features an elasticated drawstring waist, back-button fastening and two handy hip pockets. It’s an easy throw-on outfit for holidays, warm weekends or getting next summer’s wardrobe sorted ludicrously early.
⚠️ The catch? Only selected sizes are still available, and an £8 clearance price is unlikely to help them hang around. Check whether your size has survived here.
