Hollywood actress Christina Applegate has spoken more about her battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), along with her romance with Brad Pitt in a new memoir - and you can listen to it on Audible.

Dead to Me actress Christina Applegate has released her eagerly-anticipated new memoir, called You With The Sad Eyes, this week.

The 54-year-old star has been open about her health since she was first diagnosed with MS five years ago, so it may not surprise fans to know she speaks even more in-depth about the disease in the book. What may be more surprising is her getting candid about her brief romance with fellow acting icon Brad Pitt.

The book is available to buy now on Amazon as hardback (£17.99), paperback (£24.60) and Kindle (£12.99). But you could also sign up for a free 30 day trial to Audible Standard and listen to the book for free. This is a great option if you want to know all that Applegate has to say, but you just don’t have time to sit and read. You can listen while you’re driving, out for a walk or run, or doing the chores.

In You with Sad Eyes, Applegate explains how she now spends most of her days in bed now, due to the pain movement causes her because of the condition. But, she says the one thing she still tries to make sure she does is take her 15-year-old daughter, Sadie, to school because that’s her “favourite thing to do”.

Later in the book, Applegate also speaks of an incident which ended with Brad Pitt being “very mad” at her. She wrote of how she invited Pitt to the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles because they’d been "platonic pals for the longest time” but had recently looked at each other and “thought, ‘hmm’.”

Applegate, who was 17 at the time, ended up leaving the ceremony with someone else, however - famous rockstar Sebastian Bach, lead singer of Skid Row. "Not surprisingly, [he] was subsequently very mad at me,” she said. “We didn’t talk for many years after that. Eventually, we agreed that I’d been a kid, and though he’d deserved much better.”

In her defence, she he also noted that Pitt, now aged 62 and then 25, was "still making his way as an actor, and he wasn’t yet THE Brad Pitt, the man of so many people’s dreams”.

If you want to hear more of the story and what happened between Applegate and Pitt afterwards, along with more details of the actress’s MS battle, and revelations about her childhood, past abusive relationships and other health issues including cancer, you can sign up for a free 30 day trial to Audible Standard and listen to You With The Sad Eyes for free now.
