Woman dies after falling from Cascades car park, police confirm

A woman has died after falling from a car park in the city centre.

Emergency services raced to Unicorn Road yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, August 26) just after 4pm following reports that a person had fallen from Cascades car park.

A cordon was put in place in the area, with multiple ambulances, a fire truck and police officers in attendance.

A spokesperson for the police force has confirmed a woman in her 20s has died and that her family have been informed. A file will be prepared for the coroner.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance also confirmed the air ambulance team of a doctor and two advanced paramedics were deployed by helicopter, where they provided treatment to a patient on scene, before returning to base.
