Showers and thunderstorms forecast for Hampshire in June - when will the sunny weather return?
When will hot weather return?
Heavy showers and thunder are expected to hit following weeks of sweltering heat.
The Met Office said Saturday (May 30) marked the end of the heatwave that has baked the nation for much of the past two weeks, with temperatures nearing 30C.
Outbreaks of rain and storms are now forecast to move across the country, with “scattered” and “heavy” showers likely over the next three weeks.

The Met Office said: “(Tuesday, June 2) The showers turning heavy, with risk of hail and thunder in places, especially during the afternoon. Light winds generally, but locally gusty near showers. Maximum temperature 22 °C.
“(June 6 - June 15) Strong winds may affect parts of the UK at times, especially the northwest. Later in the period, higher pressure and more settled conditions may begin to become more prevalent, especially in the south.
“Towards the end of June, low pressure may begin to have more of an influence, especially across the south where heavy showers and thunderstorms become more probable.”
Warm temperatures and sunny spells are anticipated to return towards the end of the month, with the Met Office saying: “It may also become hot in parts of the south.”
