Time when thunderstorms are forecast for Portsmouth, Havant, Gosport, Fareham, Waterlooville and Hayling Island today

The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for today and tomorrow.

Parts of the UK have experienced thunderstorms earlier in the week – and according to the latest forecast, Portsmouth is set to be hit by them later today.

On its website the Met Office says: ‘Some places are likely to see further severe thunderstorms, but with significant uncertainty in location and timing.’

Here is when forecasters are predicting thunderstorms will hit the area:

Portsmouth

Thursday

Thunderstorms will continue overnight until 4am, according to the BBC weather forecast.

There will be spells of storms during the rest of Thursday.

Gosport

Wednesday

According to BBC weather’s forecast, thunderstorms will arrive at 8pm and last for rest of the night.

Thursday

Thunderstorms will continue overnight into the early hours of Thursday.

BBC weather is also forecasting spells of thunderstorms throughout the rest of the day.

Fareham

Thursday

Forecasters are predicting that there will be thunderstorms from 10am until 8pm on Thursday.

Havant

BBC weather is forecasting a spell of thunderstorms at 8pm tonight.

Thursday

There will be thunderstorms overnight starting at 1am on Thursday, according to BBC weather forecast.

Forecasters are predicting that there will be stormy spells for much of the day lasting until 8pm.

Waterlooville

According to BBC weather forecast there will be a spell of thunderstorms at 8pm tonight.

Thursday

There will be thunderstorms overnight starting at 1am on Thursday.

Hayling Island

BBC weather is forecasting thunderstorms from 7pm tonight, lasting the rest of the day.

Thursday

Forecasters are predicting spells of thunderstorms throughout Thursday in Hayling Island, lasting until 6pm.
