Scorching temperature set to return to Portsmouth and Hampshire next week
Temperatures will hit 31 degrees next weekend
Higher temperatures are set to return to the South Coast this week with another Heat Health Alert in place.
The alert, issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) in partnership with the Met Office, is in place until 8pm on Saturday, July 11 with temperatures surpassing 30 degrees next weekend.

In Portsmouth temperatures are set to hit 28 and 29 degrees over the next three days, hitting 30 degrees on Thursday (July 9), and 31 degrees on Friday and into the weekend - the temperatures hitting 32 degrees further inland across Hampshire.
The alert said: “High pressure is currently most likely to dominate England through at least the early part of this period, if not for the entirety of next week. Lots of dry and fine weather, with increasing temperatures, becoming widely very warm or hot. Low impact temperature thresholds likely to be reached for many if not all parts, perhaps reaching Medium impact thresholds across the south and east.”
However temperatures are not expected to hit the heights of last week which resulted in a red heat warning being issued by the Met Office.
