41 best pictures as families flocked to Portsmouth beaches on hottest day of year

IT was the hottest July day on record in the UK yesterday and Portsmouth residents certainly made the most of the good weather.
People of all ages flocked to the beach to enjoy the warm temperatures while they lasted. The News sent our photographers out and about across the area and here are the best pictures they took.
