Vinted makes major change to buying and selling - and users are furious at 'chaos'
Vinted users are not happy with this big change to sizes! 😡👀
- Vinted has changed women's clothing sizing.
- Sizes are now grouped together.
- It has caused “chaos” among sellers and buyers.
A major change to the popular app Vinted has left users bemused. The second-hand marketplace has adjusted the way sizing - and people are not happy.
Shoppers quickly took to social media to vent their frustrations at the adjustment, following a recent update. It has now grouped different sizes together, causing “chaos” for buyers and sellers.
Launched back in 2008, Vinted has become a major place to sell or buy pre-loved clothing, accessories, and other items. But it is a change to women’s clothing that has caused this current backlash.
Vinted users “confused” over changes to sizes

In a recent update, the way that clothing sizing is displayed has been dramatically changed. Sizes are now grouped together and it has really thrown a spanner in the works.
The Daily Express reports that instead of each size being represented by a letter - such as XS or S - it is now a grouped range of sizes. For example XS is now 4-6, S is now 8-10, and M is 12-14.
One user noted: “There has been an update to the UK sizing which makes it harder to shop by grouping sizes, and also has made all sizes on existing listings incorrect. Will this be addressed?”
Another said: “Please rethink the new sizing update, I don’t agree with it at all, and it’s thrown all my listings off.” One added: “Urgh, anyone selling women’s clothing on Vinted, have a check of your sizes. Vinted have updated all their sizes and now mine are all wrong on my items for sale!”
A person wrote: “Omg Vinted have suddenly changed their sizings so, for example, a shirt that was listed a size 14 is now listed as a size 20-22? I fear the chaos this is going to cause.”
One said: “If any of my lady friends are selling clothes on Vinted, check the sizing on your listings. I've just had to cancel a sale because all my sizings have been automatically changed and now are wrong!”
Another social media user described it as the “biggest balls up of all time”, while one added: “Vinted has suddenly changed the size categories and I’m now confused when browsing.”
A spokesperson for Vinted explained: “We've updated our size guidelines for women's and kid's clothing to make sizing more accurate across international brands. UK members will have received a message in their Vinted inbox with more details and you can also find full information on our Help Centre.”
