A woman in her 80s has died after being taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on New Year’s Eve.

The police launched an appeal for witnesses earlier this week following a crash at the junction of Winchester Road and the A334, Shedfield, on Wednesday, December 31 at 12.50pm.

The incident involved a blue Audi S Q5 and a blue Peugeot 3008.

The passenger of the Peugeot, a woman in her 80s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but has since died.
