Two cars involved in M27 crash which resulted in two miles of traffic and severe delays

Traffic woes plagued drivers after a crash caused hefty congestion on the motorway.

Drivers were held on the M27 by emergency services during rush hour this morning (May 19) following a crash which caused two miles of traffic.

The AA previously said: “All lanes stopped and queueing traffic for two miles due to crash on M27 Eastbound from J11 A27 (Fareham / Gosport) to J12 A27.”

A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said officers were called to the collision, which involved two cars, at 6.37am.

The force has confirmed no injuries were reported as a result.
