Two people sustain injuries following A27 crash this morning prompting emergency response

Fareham Police posted to Facebook this morning (November 18) informing people of a lane closure in both directions on the A27 near Market Quay roundabout and Tesco, in Fareham.

The closures came following a crash involving two cars which was reported to police just after 7am, prompting emergency services to respond to the incident.

The earlier post said: “Traffic is expected to be very heavy due to this incident and significant delays are expected. Please avoid the area if possible.

“As soon as we deal with the incident, alongside our partners at South Central Ambulance Service and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, we'll get it open as soon as we can.”

The police have now confirmed that two people sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
