Trains delayed after tree falls on line between Havant and Chichester
A fallen tree is causing delays for train passengers
Trains are being delayed by a fallen tree on the line.
The tree fell between Havant and Chichester, and at first led to trains grinding to a halt. The tree has now been removed and services are running again, but there are delays of up to 30 minutes.
A Southern Rail statement on X said: “The tree has now been removed and services are on the move. We'd advise still checking your journey on our planners or https://nationalrail.co.uk to see if your train has been delayed by this incident. Please note, your train may be held on approach to the area, or it may be terminated before it gets to this part of the network.”
The disruption is expected to last until 5pm.
