A teenager has broken his foot in two places after it became trapped under his motorbike during a hit and run.

17-year-old, Tyler, from Gosport, has received hospital treatment following a crash involving his blue motorcycle and a silver Renault Megane in Brookers Lane at approximately 6pm on November 3.

The teenager was driving along the road near the Tukes Avenue junction when the crash happened and the driver of the Renault failed to stop at the scene.

Sarah Milton, the teenager’s mum, said: “The car hesitated and then just went straight into him. His foot was bent under his bike and he was just trying to keep control of his bike of it so he didn’t crash into anyone else. He managed to come to a stop and his friend rushed to him to get his bike off him.

“He’s broken his foot in two places and has cuts and bruises - we just want a bit of justice.

“He wants to be out but he can’t do anything at the moment.

“If he didn’t get control of that bike, it could have been a lot worse - we handed the police everything they needed including the registration number but they haven’t done anything - they sent the driver a letter, that’s it.”

The teens mother has said she is unhappy at the lack of action taken by the police, with a spokesperson confirming a warning letter was issued.

The teenager is now on crutches and has to wear a boot while he recovers from his injuries, and Sarah is hoping someone may have seen the incident or have relevant dash cam footage.

The police have asked anyone who witnessed this collision to call 101 quoting reference 44250498092.
