A post on X said: “Due to the high temperatures forecast for Monday 3 August and Tuesday 4 August, changes will be made to services on the line between Portsmouth Harbour and London Waterloo via Guildford, between the hours of 10am and 5pm.

“Some services from Portsmouth Harbour towards London Waterloo via Guildford will be diverted via Cobham after they reach Guildford.

“These changes will help us provide a more reliable and resilient service during the period of hot weather.”

Journey planners will be updated Sunday 2 August and Monday 3 August.
