Horrifying picture shared after drink driver five times over the limit ploughs into 'innocent' member of the public
The police have shared a horrifying picture after a drink driver smashed into an ‘innocent member of the public.’
A 42-year-old drink driver, who was five times over the legal limit, has been hospitalised after ploughing into a car in Liss.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Roads and Policing Unit wrote on social media, saying: “There is NEVER an excuse for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

“This week, officers from B-Relief RPU along with support from local policing units have attended the aftermath of a drink driver in Liss.
“The photo attached... is the vehicle of the innocent member of public that the intoxicated driver collided with. Thankfully, due to the innocent driver wearing a seatbelt only minor injuries were caused.”
The Petersfield man’s car had to be cut in half by the fire service in order to safely remove him, before he was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment.
He was taken to hospital, where an evidential blood sample was provided and a file will be prepared for court following the results.
