A person was killed after being hit by a train causing huge travel disruption across Hampshire.
The incident happened at Hinton Admiral railway station at around 9.33am, and led to major disruption on the rail network between Bournemouth and Southampton. All lines were blocked to allow emergency services to respond.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "We were called to Hinton Admiral railway station at 9.33am today to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Officers attended alongside paramedics but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
