A man died at the scene
National Highways has given an update on when the M27 might reopen after a fatal crash this morning.

A 66-year-old man from Gosport died following a single vehicle collision around 6.30am as the road was closed between junction 9 and 12. The crash took place near junction 12 in Portsmouth.
Traffic delays of up to 90 minutes were reported on the M27 with disruption to areas around the scene as diversions were put in place. Many drivers reported longer delays online.
Now, in an update on when the M27 may reopen, National Highways said police “investigations continue” before adding: “It is expected that the carriageway will remain closed for several further hours. Current delays of 16 minutes on approach.”
