Motorcyclist in his 20s dies following fatal Hampshire crash prompting police investigation

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has published an appeal for information or dash cam footage following a fatal crash on the A272 just after 6pm yesterday evening (February 18).

Officers were called to reports of a crash between Rodfield Lane and Owslebury involving a silver Nissan X-Trail and a blue Suzuki motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s from Hythe, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: “As we investigate this collision and the circumstances that led to it, we would like to speak to any witnesses and anyone with relevant dash cam footage of either vehicle in the lead up to this collision.”
