"Severe delays" on M275 in Portsmouth after car crashes into central reservation on M27
Traffic is building up on a major motorway after a car smashed into the central reservation.
Motorists are running into problems on the M275 southbound this evening (January 23). Police and firefighters scrambled to the scene.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesman said: “We were called just after 3pm to a report of a car colliding with the central reservation on the M27 eastbound just before the M275 junction.”
The spokesman said no injuries have been reported from the scene. A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) spokesman said personnel from Fareham and Cosham were deployed, arriving at roughly 3.30pm.
He added: “HIWFRS made the scene safe before handing the incident over to police and Highways teams. Firefighters left the scene and returned to station at around 4pm.”
