M27 carnage now cleared but motorists still told to expect one hour delays
CARNAGE from this evening’s M27 crash has now been cleared – but motorists have been warned to still expect delays of an hour.
Commuters attempting to make their way home were told to expect 80 minute delays after a three-car pile-up on the M27 westbound between Junction 12 near Port Solent and Junction 11 at Fareham.
The accident has caused mayhem for commuters in Portsmouth and Havant after three lanes of the motorway were blocked.
But the traffic woe is now slowly starting to ease.
Romanse, Hampshire County Council’s live traffic report on Twitter, posted: ‘Westbound - Lanes 2, 3 and 4 now CLEARED between J12/#M275 #PortSolent and J11/A27 #Fareham after the earlier RTI, approx 1 HOUR delay remains from A3023 #Langstone Rbt.’
The traffic chaos can be seen in the map.
