"We are very sorry": Lines between Portchester and Cosham blocked after train hits obstruction on tracks
Lines are blocked between two railway stations after a train hit an obstruction on the track this evening.
Lines are blocked between Portsmouth and Havant, with South Western Railway saying delays could last until 10pm.
This comes after a train hit an obstruction on the track between Portchester and Cosham, with cancellations and ammended timetables expected.

South Western Railway wrote on its website: “The driver of the affected service has inspected their train and they're now unable to move it after hitting an obstruction on the track.
“Whilst this train is unable to move, the line towards Portsmouth and Havant will be blocked and trains running towards Fareham will be required to run at a reduced speed.
“We are very sorry for any disruption to your journey.”
Tickets can currently be used on Great Western Railway services between Southampton Central and Portsmouth Harbour in both directions, and Southern Railway services between Southampton Central and Portsmouth Harbour in both directions.
