Is Langstone Bridge open? : Update after 'serious crash' causes traffic mayhem near Hayling Island

Emergency services responded to a serious crash this afternoon, resulting in a major road closure.
A police spokesperson previously said: “We were called at 12.31pm today (April 9) to reports of a collision in Langstone Road. We are currently dealing with this incident and a road closure is in place.”
As a result, drivers faced lengthy delays and standstill traffic while emergency services attended the scene, with an air ambulance also deployed.
In a recent post on Hayling Island Police Facebook page this evening, a spokersperson confirmed the closure, which impacted both directions, has now been lifted but heavy congestion remains in the area.
The AA says: “Queueing traffic due to earlier crash on A3023 Langstone Bridge both ways from Langstone High Street to Northney Road.”
