Investigation launched after TJ Transport tipper lorry left the A32 carriageway and ended up on neighbouring field

An investigation has been launched after a tipper lorry left a busy carriageway and ended up stuck in a nearby field yesterday.

As a result, police attended the scene and a tow truck was required to remove the vehicle from the field, with a spokesperson from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirming no one was injured.

TJ Transport has confirmed an investigation has been launched to establish what happened, with a spokesperson for the company saying: “I can confirm that one of our 8 wheel-tipper lorries was involved in a single-vehicle incident on the Wickham Road, Fareham while delivering materials to a nearby construction project on Monday.

“We do not know the cause of the incident at this time and have launched an investigation.”
