M3 reopens after 'Emergency barrier' repairs left motorway closed creating huge delays

The M3 has been reopened after being closed for most of the day yesterday (January 19) for “emergency repairs” causing “long delays”.

Drivers faced long delays on the M3 southbound (also known as westbound) from junction 11 to 13 while workers fix the barriers after a defect was found, closing three of the four lanes.

National Highways said: “Emergency repairs are complete and the #M3 westbound between J12 (#Allbrook) and J13 (Eastleigh) is OPEN. Safe travels this morning.”
