Three vehicles including Peugeot with 'smoking exhaust' crash into each other on A27 in Farlington
One of the motorists originally got out of their car before returning and driving away
Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash on a busy dual carriageway after one of the drivers left the scene.
A van and two cars collided into each other on the A27 westbound near Farlington yesterday morning (August 6). Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said between 10.50am and 11am, a black Peugeot 208 collided with a black BMW and a red Citroen Berlingo.
Police are appealing for further details after the driver left the area. “The Peugeot, which was described as having a smoking exhaust, initially stopped and the driver exited his vehicle, before he returned to the car and drove away from the scene,” the force added.
“We are following up lines of enquiry into this collision, and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision or captured anything on Dash Cam. We are also keen to hear from anyone who was travelling between the A3 Hindhead and the collision site that day, and may have seen this particular vehicle during their travels.”
