A27 reopens between Chichester and Emsworth after a medical incident which led to its closure
The A27 has reopened after being closed in both directions by the police who say they were dealing with a medical incident.
The stretch between Emsworth and the Fishbourne Roundabout at Chichester was closed earlier this evening (November 25), with drivers urged to avoid the area. A diversion had been set up along the A259, emergency services were on the scene.
In a statement Chichester Police said: “ The A27 which was closed earlier in both directions from Emsworth to Fishbourne for a medical incident has now re-opened. Thanks for your co-operation.”
West Sussex Fire and Rescue had also asked drivers to avoid the area and confirmed that are also on the scene.
