Siren the "affectionate" and "playful" Staffordshire bull terrier is on the hunt for a loving home after a "rough time"

Described as an “affectionate, playful and bundle of fun”, a dog who has been in foster care for eight months is ready to find a home.

Siren, an eight-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier, found herself being taken in by the RSPCA Stubbington Ark last year after experiencing a “rough time.”

The adorable dog enjoys playing with her toys and likes to snuggle up with people she feels happy around.

A spokesperson for the Stubbington Ark said: “She's now been in our care for over 8 months. She ended up in our care through no fault of her own - and unfortunately has been through a bit of a rough time.

“She's had three operations: a dental, mammary lump removal and a spay. She's been spending time on a houseboat with one of our foster carers rehabilitating and has now been medically cleared for rehoming.

“Despite being 8 years old she has a real zest for life. She's a great car passenger, and is a joy to train. She can be homed with children aged 11+, but not with any other animals as she is dog reactive, and has a high prey drive.”

Siren can be nervous around some other dogs but she can be easily distracted. She will need to be rehomed with a family that has an enclosed outdoor space where she can play and she cannot be homed in the PO2 area.
