Rail workers' shindig
Pete Smith, a former Eastleigh train driver and organiser of this year's get-together for everyone who works or worked on the railway, has asked me to publicise the gathering.
It is on March 12 from midday to 6pm at the old BR Social Club, Eastleigh.
Drivers, firemen, guards, shunters, fitters, station staff, or clerical, everyone’s welcome.
You don’t have to be old and grey to attend. If it’s your first week at work do come along.
