Punters have piled through the doors of a beloved boozer that has undergone a refurbishment.
The Meon, in Milton, reopened on Saturday, August 8 following a major transformation costing £130,000 - and customers have flocked to see the new look.
Rachel Pitt has been a licensee at The Meon for the past 11 years and she said “it’s been amazing to see the transformation of the pub over the past few weeks.”
The 44-year-old continued: “It was a really good weekend, we were busy on Saturday. A lot of people came in to see in what we have done. We had the golf society in so it was a nice busy day and then we had some football fans come in after the game.
“We are really pleased with what’s been done - we picked the colours because we wanted it to be blue as we’re a Pompey pub so we are pleased with the outcome. I think the last time we had work done was about eight years ago so it was long overdue.
“Everyone has been positive about it and they said how it was much brighter. They loved it.”
