Work well underway on ambitious project to revamp the Kings Theatre to create a new foyer and cafe

Work is well underway on an ambitious project to revamp vital space at the Kings Theatre in Southsea which will create a new foyer and cafe.

Three formerly derelict shops in Albert Road are being transformed to become part of the 118-year-old building to create a flexible rehearsal and communal space, and providing modern facilities to meet the expectations of audiences

The theatre will also be restoring its iconic portico at the front of the building during the works which are expected to last around 16 months.
