The popular open space will be closed for three months
A popular open space is set to be closed to the public for three months while a new drainage system is installed.
The open space at Purbrook Heath in Waterlooville will be closed from September 1 until December 1 for the works to take place.
The area is popular with families, fitness clubs and Purbrook Cricket Club which is based there.
It is understood the tennis courts and playground are unaffected.
A statement from Havant Borough Council said: “We will keep you updated as work progresses. We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconveniences caused.”
