One week left for residents to have their say in The Big Portsmouth Survey

The council wants residents’ views on spending, services and city priorities

Residents have one more week to share their views in The Big Portsmouth Survey.

Portsmouth City Council is reminding residents they have until Wednesday, September 9 to take part and have their say on life in the city.

The survey asks residents about a range of issues, including the cost of living, transport, community life, culture and the local environment.

Most importantly, it asks residents how the council should prioritise its spending and resources as it prepares for the next budget setting process.

Councillor Steve Pitt, leader of the council, said: “Your views are so important to how we run things here in Portsmouth, you can help us to better understand local needs and priorities, and shape future services across the city.

“We know people care deeply about their local services and, with increasing pressures on council finances, it’s more important than ever that we understand residents’ priorities. The Big Portsmouth Survey gives everyone the opportunity to tell us what matters most to them, where they think we should focus our resources, and how we can best support our communities.

“The survey is available in a variety of formats, and I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to tell us what you think.”

You can complete the survey online using the link here or call 023 9261 6708. You can also visit your local library, community centre or the Civic Offices reception to pick up a paper copy.
