Fresh plans for controversial Tournerbury Woods' wedding venue with construction of new road
Updated plans have been submitted in the long-running saga over The Tournerbury Woods Estate hosting weddings which will see a new access road created.
It comes after the Hayling Island venue was granted retrospective planning permission last year to host weddings, something it had been doing for more than a decade without proper approval.
It is now hoping to construct a new vehicular track from the public highway to the venue and retain the marquee, a covered walkway / pergola and ancillary toilet and car parking facilities created on the site without planning permission.

Previously, local residents and the Chichester Harbour Conservancy criticised the venue calling on Havant Borough Council to issue a stop notice as the venue was operating without the proper permissions.
The estate is located in Tournerbury Woods, with designations such as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and a Special Protected Area (SPA).
